Data Retention Policy

This page explains how long BeemOS keeps different types of data and how that data is removed or anonymised.

General principles

• We only keep data for as long as it is needed to operate the service.
• Where possible, temporary content is automatically removed.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data.

Temporary content

Clipboard-style messages and shared content may be removed automatically after a period of inactivity, or when a session expires. The goal is to keep storage light and reduce long-term data.

Account data

• Basic account details (such as email address) are kept while your account is active.
• If you close your account, we remove or anonymise data wherever reasonably possible, subject to legal or billing obligations.

Logs & security data

Some short-lived technical logs may be stored for security and debugging purposes (for example, suspicious login attempts). These are kept only as long as needed to maintain a safe service.
